Conventional vehicles available for hire are quite adequate for general mobility on most major highways and fully equipped motor homes and trailers allow for freedom of movement without the need for accommodation en route. Intrepid adventurers wishing to explore remote and otherwise inaccessible regions due to inclement weather and dubious road conditions are best advised to negotiate the rugged terrain in the superior driving ability of a 4WD vehicle. |

| Bus is another option but unless it is the extensive network of O’ahu it is generally limited to commuter routes on the other islands. Coach or mini bus charters make for an ideal way of experiencing it all in comfort and convenience on a personalized tour or sightseeing excursion, with the added benefit of efficiently meeting airport transfer and group booking requirements such as weddings and corporate functions. All main islands also have cab service which is indispensable for expediency between venues around town - and a good night out without the responsibility of driving. In major cities limousines are a special way to mark special occasions and for corporate transportation many businesses are inclined toward the superior service, reliability and quality of the chauffeured car for their transport requirements. Inter-island travel is mainly covered by two domestic airlines that fly to and from O’ahu, Maui, the Big Island and Kaua’i and ferry services now link the larger islands. Light aircraft, helicopter and boat charters are available for independent travel and add an element of adventure to the whole experience. |
