Welcome to the home of the largest bay and reef sheltered lagoon in the state of Hawaii. Kanahoe is the second largest town on the Windward Coast. The town is not cheifly popular with tourists mainly due to the fact that the silty beaches are not suited to swimming.

Once away from the main strip of town, the bay looks spectactular, the calm waters combined with faithful tradewinds make fantastic conditions for a sail.

Away from the winds and the sea, the Hoómaluhia Botanical Gardens is a peaceful retreat. The Ha éia State Park has great views out to Coconut Island, Heéia Kea Pier and the famous fishpond.

Things to do

  • Valley of the temples,
  • Hoómaluhia Botanical Gardens,
