Just 20 minutes from Waikiki the coast curves around the tip of Ko’olau Range toward the immense volcanic backdrop of Diamond Head cone and crater. Hanuama Bay Nature Preserve, Koko Head Regional Park, various beach parks synonymous with bodysurfing, numerous lookout points and many scenic drives through enchanting countryside mark this as one of the most illustrious regions of the Island.
Naturally, activities lend themselves to watersports of all descriptions but there are also some astounding marine observatories and flora parks that instil the need for environmental rebuilding and preservation.
And for the seduction of man-made attractions, there is always the lure of the luxurious neighborhood of Kahala, the preferred retreat of many celebrities and dignitaries.
