The West is the best in terms of tourism and West Maui is no exception with beautiful beaches flanked by the swanky high-rises of Ka’anapali on one end and the classy golf retreats of Kapalua on the other.
Beyond, the scenic mountainous road to Ma’alaea is a winter whale-watcher’s delight and tourist development gives way to less ostentatious pretty towns such as affordable Honokowai, trendy Kahana and low-rise Napili. From here, it’s lush and rugged coastline that keeps you going.
