Maui Mountain Riders invites you to experience their spectacular bike ride journeys from the summit of Mount Haleakala to the sea of Maui, Hawaii. Coast 38 miles down the world's largest dormant volcano on one of Maui Mountain Riders’ three guided tours, or enjoy the freedom of a self-guided tour.
The Day Journey is a favorite, beginning at the summit of Haleakala and ending 38 miles later at Baldwin Beach in Paia. Tours of the House of the Sun Visitors Center and Haleakala Visitor Center are included. The National Park tour is 22 miles of biking, starting at the summit of Haleakala and ending at Sunrise Market in Kula. The Sunrise Journey is the most popular bicycle tour, beginning at the House of the Sun Visitor Center where you enjoy hot coffee, juice and pastries. Certified tour guides provide a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of rare plants and animals, before escorting you to the rim of the crater to view sunrise at 10,000 feet. Self-guided tours are longer than any other unguided tour on the island, allowing clients 30 miles of biking at their own comfortable pace.
All tours include state of the art Volcano Chrome Cruisers, Columbia sportswear gear, knowledgeable and safety conscious guides, and air-conditioned round trip transportation.
