The Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel caters to backpackers, travelers and windsurfers wanting to get the best out of Maui, and the best value for their money.

Your stay comes with a friendly atmosphere, comraderie, and friendships that last a lifetime. We offer more free amenities than any other hostel in Hawaii. The Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel has been in business for 15 years.

The hostel is owned and operated by Jim Heine. He first came to the hostel as a traveler himself in 1990. He came back to take it over in 1996 and you can see him there most days.

Maui has it all, from 42 miles of beaches to terrific coastlines, waterfalls, and a 10,000 foot volcano. Be sure to take one of their free tours on Monday – Iao Valley Tour, Tuesday – All day Hana Tour, Wednesday – West Maui & Lahaina Tour, Thursday – Turtle Tour, Friday – Whale watch cruise or West Maui (seasonal) Saturday – Haleakala Volcano Tour , Sunday Makena Beach Tour.
