Lana'i is the smallest among the six main Hawaiian Islands. Lana'i was once covered by pineapples and served as one of Dole's pineapple plantations. Today the island is the newest and most secluded and luxurious holiday resort in Hawai'i. With no traffic lights, just over 3000 permanent residents and only 48 km of paved road, visitors to Lana'i get a taste of the real Hawai'i.

Featuring two five-star properties, Lana'i is favored by those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation in pure luxury surrounded by natural beauty. Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay is located high above Hulopo'e Beach, Lana'i's finest white sand beach. The resort has stunning views of the Pacific, lush surroundings and its own first class golf course – The Challenge at Manele. Located in the dramatic central highlands, the Lodge at Koele is one of few inland hotels in Hawai'i and Lana'i's second five-star property. The Lodge at Koele is set at a cool 500 meters above sea level and surrounded by manicured lawns, gardens and Norfolk Island Pines. The hotel has its own golf course, The Experience at Koele, ranked in the top three on the 2005 Conde Nast Traveler "Top 100 Golf Resorts".

Although it remains off the beaten path, Lana'i offers a range of activities in a setting that takes full advantage of the island's natural beauty. You may choose to go for a casual bike ride around Lana'i City or take on a more strenuous mountain bike trek on the many trails that crisscross the surrounding 89,600 acres of countryside. Rent a 4- wheel drive and set off on an adventure that takes you to the unique landscape of Keahikawelo (Garden of the Gods). Embark on an equestrian excursion from The Stables at Koele or try your hand at sporting clays at one of the country’s best facilities.
