Lana'i is one of the smallest among the six main Hawaiian Islands. Lana'i was once covered by pineapples and served as one of Dole's pineapple plantations. Today the island is the newest, most secluded and luxurious holiday resort in Hawai'i. With no traffic lights, just over 3000 permanent residents and only 48 km of paved road, visitors to Lana'i get a taste of the real Hawai'i.
