Overview

Princeville resembles a large resort. Princeville was named after Prince Albert, the son of King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma who died in 1862 at the age of four.

It seems as though the facilities here are indeed made for royalty. There are championship golf courses, tennis courts, restaurants and a shopping centre which is in contrast with the rest of Kauai's towns.

Things to do

  • Tee off at one of the many golf clubs in Princeville
  • Bask in the magnificence of Hideaways beach or Pu'u Poa Beach
  • Have a hit of tennis
  • Swim, snorkel and float in the ice-blue Queen's Bath, a lava-rock pool.
